SUPERNATURAL FANFIC

Title: Take a Sad Song
Dated: March 2010
Genre: Alternate Reality, let-beat-up-Dean universe ( i like to write those ^^; )
Rating: PG/ PG-13
Pairing: established John/Mary
Disclaimer: Chamael's behaviorism are mine... that's about it. The rest belong to Kripke.
Warnings: there will be character death. uh.. lots of it. Mostly non graphic, but this is supernatural for crying out loud. Everyone dies. Except Bobby, but i'm looking at the summary for eppie 515 and thinking it might change. For this story - i kinda blame the terminator movies to an extent. Namely the first one and the fourth one. And while if might not be obvious why - it's all Kyle and Marcus' fault.
These were original written as little vignette like things - so they're are short. I'm trying to combine them into longer bits to make real chapters later, so we'll see how that goes. I have far to many stories going on at one time - so GOD only knows when it'll get updated next.
PROLOGUE
Zachariah had confided in her the paths he saw opening before them. Gleefully informed her when he started to move the pieces they way he saw best - the world unfolding as his personal chessboard.
Micheal's body was about to born - Zachariah had made certain that bloodlines were crossed perfectly for the true vessel to be formed. Soon - Micheal would walk on earth, and he would smite Lucifer, and the darkness polluting the earth could finally be gotten ride of.
A glorious time was coming indeed. Soon - they would have free reign over Earth. So very soon. Her being swelled with joy - an end so finally in sight; everlasting peace just a few short decades away.
But then Zachariah became worried. He watched the pathways carefully - took diligent note of the futures that could be. On the eve of the contraception of Micheal earthly form, Zachaiah had summoned her, divulged that Lucifer's vessel would be born from the same blood not to long after. That he saw disturbing things ahead. He saw them loosing.
They both agreed, that Lucifer's true vessel could not be born. Neither entertained the idea that Micheal could possibly loose, but concurred that take such a chance was unwise.
She sent her garrison away to fight, made sure her absence would go unnoticed. If Uriel found something amiss he kept it to himself, just nodded, and she was on her way.
She watched the carrier of Micheal's vessel - watched closely.
This human pair's first born belong to Heaven's Host - she could not kill the sire until she was certain that the loss wouldn't stress the mortal woman into a miscarriage.
And so it was - three months after the spark of life began to form and when its heart began to beat strong, Anael knew it was time.
It was time for the human called John Winchester to die.
It was easy to do. So pathetically easy. The man walked willingly and blindly into his death, the lifeless body falling to Her Vessel's feet before he was aware she was there. So weak were these humans.
This man was supposably a warrior himself - a soldier of his country. She sneered - easily understanding Uriel's annoyance with them - and watched the reaper collect the mortal's soul, ignoring the look of contempt that was given. "Run along little harvester - before I smite you too."
She laughed at them, watching the dead fade into the reaper, who said nothing in return. She expected the lowly creature to cower, to back down at the might of Heaven's Glory, but nothing prepared her for the creatures ghoulish smirk.
The reaper then knelt - but not to Anael - its head bowed to another.
Anael frowned, looking at the empty air in trepidation. "Wha -"
Then the air crackled, becoming heavy and obsessive. The light was as if from Heaven itself, and Anael swallowed, looking at the incorporeal forms that settled before her. Her Brother stood unmasked and untainted by a vessel's form - lost since her FATHER's own mortal son last walked the Earth. Lost since her FATHER last walked with them in the Halls of Heaven.
And beside him, GLORY so powerful Anael stilled in dread. The reaper showed no such fear - offering the soul for Judgment.
Chamael looked away from the unjustified smited, and instead at her - so sadly and forlorn, his entire being weeping. She fell to her knees, head bowed, despair flooding her as she looked away from the LIGHT beside her brother's being.
"FATHER..." So long HE had been lost to them, so distant, and now, here HE stood before her. She wanted to feel glorious that Her FATHER had chosen her to appear to, but the weight of disappointment that radiated from her Brother, and she knew she had wronged them, "Chamael..."
Her Brother was quiet, head side-cocked and now turned to hear her FATHER's word - a voice now masked to her, "I am sorry" she begged, "I was wrong to - "
"My dear Anael." Her Brother's lovely voice was soft, but firm, "You have cost a child his father - a babe that will now grow up with out knowing the love of any family at all. You have assured his brother will never be, will never love him when he is hurt and lost, and when he is lonely.
"So now you too will feel this loss. This isolation. Thus sayth the LORD."
