he should be the oddman out; alistar didn't fit in with the samll group at all. Outside observerse would see him as the tag-allong. The pity friend. The party pooper.
And alistar was very away of the trouble thye could get into, and was quick to pint out flaws int heir schemes. and crolwey was quick to replan aorund them, a silver otunge at even his younge age. but he would also be the very first to defent alistars place in the group. yes, he was a bit of a wet blanket - but it wasn't tha he was against their adventures. he just didn't want them to end in trouble. he, essentially, made sute the fun lasted longer. he kept them from being obvious when stirring up trouble, and made sure that they never got pinned fr anything. with was veyr good becuase he was also the worse liar of the gourp. it was painfully obvious to anyone paying him attention when he was lieing.
fortually, he was also the more anxious in general, always twisted up in nerves around anyone older than him that he usually devolved into a stuttering mess. his nerves where not too unlike his lies.
On a more personal level, he was also, unfortually, most nervous around his family. there where also the group most ill preparied to tell his nerves from his lies, accepting his mis-truths with little sispisioun. Eve was pretty sure alistars mother was the only one who could tell the differance, and she wasn't around much.
which was a shame, becuase adam was pretty sure alistar wouldn't be so nervious in the frst place if she was. she might be cross witht he three of them, but she was a very patience woman most of the time, and before things went south, she'd been a lovely adult to talk to. adam missed that much mor ethan he missed playing in the family's garden. he also didn't like seeing his friend become more nerotic as they greq up. he also disliked the way the older siblings had becoe since they stopped visting - cold, distant and far too focuses on their reputationa nd piblic image.
alistar was like that too - more nad more every day, taking longer and longer each time they played to relax and jsut act his age. in turn it meant crolwey thoguht up more outragous games for them to play, and adam worried one day one of them would go to far. corlwey would get them in real trouble - or alistar would e too far gone to stoop down to playing with them anymore.
