Collection of 31 stories and doodles of Kidd and Killer through the ages and through the 'verses. Like the first year, i want to try and so a short story and a doodle each day. Unlike then, instead of being a nonlinear single story, each chapter will be a stand alone. Some are exploring times not covered by canon and some will be Alternate Universes. But all stories will be about the bond between Kidd and Killer.

Chapter 14🤘 ATTRIBUTE DAY: A-side / B-side
Like most teenagers- Kidd hated studying. Hated trying to memorize useless facts for a few days just to pass a class he'd never think about again by weeks end.
For the umpteenth time, he wished they had a dog so he could use 'taking them for a walk' as an excuse to leave his room. Unfortunately, he'd not proven himself reliable enough when he was little to adequately prove to Momma that he would have cared for it. She was unfortunately most likely correct.
Instead of continuing to stare at the lines of his textbook, Kidd shuffled through the cassette tapes the guys had made for him over the years, thinking over what kind of dog he'd of gotten. Like a big old junkyard dog. He put in one of the new cassette's Heat had mixed called 'study time' and was met by heavy base line. He still outta talk his momma into getting a dog. So she wouldn't be alone after Kidd moved out; like a fluffy Golden Retriever on something.
The music was a delight but entirely too distracting. He looked at the one Killer had given him when he'd taken Kidd straight home after school. Usually Kidd would ride around with him for a couple hours but Killer had made it clear Kidd was all but under house arrest until the school year was over.
None of Kidd's friends graduated. They'd all dropped out at some point. Killer had stuck it out the longest-he'd actually comeback after failing the first time. Mr. Super Senior. He'd still dropped out by spring-break. Didn't want to be a Super Super Senior; 20 years old and still in high school.
Momma tried to talk him into testing for his GED - and in one of the few moments he'd ever turned the lady down, Killer had just shrugged it off. Said a test like that was just a waste of money; Broke Momma's heart.
Kidd was pretty sure Killer hasn't forgiven himself for disappointing her- all the more reason he encouraged Kidd to be the first of them to get a diploma. If any of them were smart enough for it, it was Kidd. Bullshit, he had thought. But still preened that his friends thought so highly of him.
Killer's mix tape was labeled 'Study - P. Floyd - Wish' and started with a mellow instrumental into. By the time someone started to sing, Kidd's focus was back on the book in front of him.
He was actually taking notes when the tape clicked off. He barely looked up from the textbook when he reached on to flip the cassette over and hit play.
He flipped it one more time before he was pretty sure he had absorbed as much of the text as his head could fit right then.
He could hear Momma in the kitchen downstairs, could smell dinner coming together. He looked at the empty tape case sitting among his pirated collection.
Heat's hand writing was heavy and bold. Wire's just a line on two better than chicken scratch. Kidd's sat somewhere between them; years of practice after loosing his dominate hand to get it somewhat legible. In contrast, Killer's handwriting was smooth and precise. The back of the case had notes from the album - track listing, the band members names, even a crude sketch Kidd presumed from the album of two faintly machine hands shaking.
"However you do- I know it will be your best. Dinner is on me Friday. You can do this." was scrawled inside the J-insert.
Kidd smiled, setting the case on his stack as Momma called for him to take a break.
