there isn't much of a shore here, great cliff instead, dropping off into the endless ocean. It's beatuful, but lonley. A place to stop for a picture perhaps, but then to keep driving, to the beaches or the city.

Storms batter the area in the summer, great gales of windy and rolling thunder. if you dig enough, you can find stony foundations of long passed people who tried to tough it out in the past, before moving inland and setting along rivers instead. there's a light house on a rocky island near buy that has gone mordern, driving out the last hold out.

It's sprin now, warm sun shining out on green roling hills, and the smell of salt in the air. the road doesn't twist this way, though there are a few goat paths that meander through. too rocky for farms, but the sheep never seemed to mind. Shame those people too had to move on as the world advanced.

Azirpahle has skiped the blanket, instead strached out amoung nature, eyes closed, happily dozing in the sun. He doesn't tend to seep, so its a rare gift for crolwey to behold, sitting up and contimplating the ocean.

they get to see places together now - no longer trying tohid the fact they are meeting up, so energy once spen ton making sure no one is watching now gets to be spent on watching the humans instead. after six mileia, it's a strange change of pace, but they're finding their stride.

and then sometimes, they just go off to be by themselves; driving down ancient roman roads and marveling how some things change, and some things stay the same, in equal measure. they regal each other in tales of long forgotten places, long missed people, and the strange and wild turns their lives made - often having them jump thoguh simalar hoops nearly in sync witht he other but in opposite directiosn.

they promise Adam to meddle with peopel as little as possible, but the young man onyl gives them a look (one perfected by the cusp of teeagedom, and will be lost forever once maturity rolls in ) that tells them he has no doubts they'l skirt that rule ust as much as they've been sirtng it with home offce since the very beginign. He just has them promise that any mesing about is their choce, and not some miss placed loyalty to their former sides.

An easy promis to make, and an easier promise to keep. Crowley is still a right terror in the mundain mischeif, and azirpahle is still the overinduljent of small mircles as he's ever been. often in the same place - causing a delightful amount of chaos,a nd people leaving not quiet sure if they've had the best or worse day of their lives.

Crolwey smiles into the sun, enjoying the dirt under bared toes, and lays back down next to his angel, letting hte wild grasses tickle his skin. He loves the city - London has grown on him ofter all the years, and he really couldn't picture Azirpahe anywere else. But here is also nice, a momne tot just exist. jsut hte two of them. Azirpahle could never leave his bookstore - the world would stop turning!, and Crowley loved his flat in Mayfield, moreso now that they've started to retire there after evening drinks at the shop instead of sobering up (well - corlwey sobers up a little. he's not ging to risk the bentley by driving her at anything less than 100%. he did that once and drove her though a wall of flames. he's lucky Adam set her right, and He won't risk it again) it's a lovely, wonderrous dance they've started.

but.. but it would be nice to have a place that's both of them, and that they can streach their wings.. quite literally so. Crowley has a deep sispetion Azirpahle hasn't since they talked to Adam, and they where looking alottle rough around the edges even then.

they've drifted to theis field a couple times now on their meanderings.

"it's (nice) here." he murmered.

"It is rather lovely, " azeriaphle agreed, voice jsut as soft, like he wasn't quite awake yet.

"Think the humans would mind if we skated it out for our own? took a page out of their book and declaired it (our own)?"

it was quite for a moment, and azirpahle sat up, looking aorund the area as if seeing it fo rhte first time, "What do you mean?"

"The humans aren't susing it right now. we could set up a home base here, for when we want to be occultie and such."

Azirpahle isnore the word chose, and frowned, "Leave london?"

"Nah!.. we... no. only evey now and then. Live asummer home. or a weekend home. some human have those! lost of humans really, if you think about the ones that take their homes witht hem.most of them don't really stay in one place forever."

ccrowley sat up, draging himself over his own knees in the most forces relaxed pose ever imaginded. "we would keep doing what we've been doing. jsut.. we could have a place here when we need some down time. think of how excited you ar ehwen you have a reason to close hte shop. we could make this a regualr thing - like on tuesday or something. or just whenever, knowing you. Like inventory wekk.... month."

Azirpah;es smile could rival the sun, his mind thinking of all the possiblies. He really did not understand the point of a shop, crowley museed.
