Kidd and killer keep bumping (sometimes literally) into each other on a crowded train on their daily commutes

Bestie 13:26	So I've got another au idea, based on KiKitober prompt "stuck in crowded bus/train" Kil's a lawyer/etc/etc, some smartass, fancy dressed, takes train to work 'cause it's faster (no traffic jams) Kid's the garage owner, also takes train 'cause it's cheaper, faster and maybe he likes to drink sometimes after work They meet in a train once: Kil's standing near window when crowded was jostled and Kid slammed into him They exchange like 2 sentences XD (Kil's probably saying smth about Kid overcompensating smth with his looks and Kid calls Killer fragile thing that shouldn't take train rides if he's so afraid someone might slam into him). There was probably more other insults and barbs but it's like the essential Kid's job station is 20 minutes from where Kid boards and 35 mins from where Kil boards, Kil's job is like an hour away from his home station, so Kid leaves the train car first They meet again and again and again, every time by the same window which became their spot Still thinking about details, i just have essential parts memorised XD 1. Kid stops wearing spiky jackets and other clothes 'cause Killer's getting stubbed every time the crowd presses him against Kid and it hurts 2. They don't ask eachother's names. They're just *strangers*, brute, public hazard (as Killer calls Kid) and princess, snob etc etc (for Killer) 3. During first 2 weeks of their "rivalry" Kid skips train once 'cause he overslept. Both men feel irritated by it 4. Killer gets a cold once, skipping several days and Kid is worried sick. The day Killer shows up on train Kid threatens to nurse him himself next time 5. It's November-December, hella cold. Killer forgot his gloves at home and his hands are freezing. Kid warms his palms in his 5.1. Killer's surprised Kid did warm him and decides to see if Kid would do that again. Kid repeats his "rescue mission" 6. They fall asleep on eachother constantly 7. Killer doesn't sit on empty seats even when offered. He waits for Kid at their window and only then they decide whether they'll sit or not 8. Killer almost cried once 'cause he was overwhelmed from work and sleepless nights (and skipping meals to finish his job). Kid starts sneaking chocolate and protein bars in his pockets 9. Once the train was too crowded. On common days Kid manages to make a safe pocket for them, his back against the crowd, Killer is in safety of Kid's arms and body. But that day they were pressed too close and Kid could do nothing. Constant jostling and pressure against Killer made him hard. Next day he apologised but kept a distance, unsure if Killer would tolerate such private space invasion 10. Killer made Kid lunch 'cause Kid kept complaining how he was tired of vendor food. Kid returned lunchbox next day with overboiled pasta. They start exchanging lunchboxes daily. Heat and Wire tease Kid for that (they work with him at garage) 11. Heat and Wire have to endure Kid's yapping about "princess". After Kid brought first lunchbox they started calling him train-wife/husband Idk what to put next. I want it slow burn. I thought about KiKi making "first moves" - initiating hugs when greeting, making over exaggerated sounds of kisses just for fun, but it's happening toooooo fast
Meka 02:20	Oh!! Oh this is good! Have you given any thought to what kind of laywer killer would be? [He might also use train rides as decompression time to just kinda.. detach work from person life] > could be something less fancy like property law or contracts. Or somethig less flashy like public defenders or family law... Kidd takes the train because his personal vehicle is always some kind of work in progress /passion project and thus not functional 75% of the year. And then year - a few beers after work. Trains the better way to get around. > or he doesn't trust city drivers not to mess up his baby... They start as enemies- but they'd rather bitch at each other than deal with the other patrons. > kidd leaves first? Maybe one day he's hungover and bitchy and just leaves with killer's morning coffee without asking. Seriously i love all of this. I will have to mull over it more
Bestie 06:46	Family law for Killer 🤔 would fit, tbh But i thought smth about administrative law, so Killer can threaten Kid with a fine for being a public hazard XD [Train is good for sleeping. Unless u stand pressed against a window with human furnace at ur back] Kid would gladly bitch with anyone but Killer's the only one who doesn't back down and actually fights back. Keeps things interesting and entertaining > XD i thought about Killer falling asleep on Kid and Kid having to skip his station 'cause he can't leave Killer in such vulnerable state but him stealing coffee? 🤌💋 Even better would be if they shared one cup, oblivious to how it look from the side (ah yes, indirect kiss which they're too bitchy to notice XD) UPD: also thought about Kid wearing non-spiky jacket Killer will absolutely joke about him shedding his needles like porcupine (or hedgehog)
Meka 08:57	Maybe kidd thinks killer is admin law and calls him a bootlicker or sees him just as bad as a cop and killer just rolls with it because why should he have to defend himself against some wanna-be punk on the train? It does take the bite out of his threatening of issuing a fine but kidd doesn't know that he can't. [Alternatively killer could have collegues who can and just chooses not to sic them on kidd... yet] Killer can not only hold his own against kidd - he's cutthroat about it. >Maybe kidd witnesses killer getting into it with someone else and is impressed with how in-thier-face killer gets. Probably can't fisticuffs in this verse but maybe cows this person into getting off early. Or maybe it started at the station so kidd misses why they beefing but killer flat out refuses to let this person on the train through physical force/intimidation? Eventually they start sharing killer's coffee. Kidd doesn't want to admit that the stolen coffee was actually good.... (with the priness theme maybe its a mocha or latte or something. Nothing extraordinary but more than just the black with cream kidd usually has) maybe kidd continues to be a pill and will take the cup right before his stop, chugs half of it and then gives it back and dashs before killer can react. >its the days killer skips coffee that he ends up sleeping on kidd. Point #9 - does killer notice kidd got hard? Or did he dismiss it as maybe something else because of the way there where crammed up against everything and each other? I know you were thinking slow burn... mix in some 'will-they wont-they' Also > somewhere far down the story line i also can see one of them (probably kidd) absent-mindedly giving the other a good bye kiss (like on the cheek or forehead) on a friday after they've both had a rough week and being off the train before thier brain caught up to what they just did. Now they both have all weekend to panic over it because they dont even know each others names!!!! Kidd despiking himself to not hurt kilkil <3 <3 <3
Bestie 09:26	Killer would lie about him working as criminalist with straight face and then chug his girly pop drink (there must be a lot of sugar for his brain to work) like nothing happened Kid 1000% ask "hypothetical questions" about fines and arrests in "hypothetical" situations and Killer will consult him on the matter, pretending he doesn't know that "hypothetical redhaired brute" from the question > Doubt it would be a good idea for Killer to get physical. He can get his license taken if anyone snitches on him. But intimidation, jargons, etc etc would work (Kid is impressed how he manages to "fight" his opponents without starting a brawl) When i worked as barista (the worst 2 weeks of my life, even tho my workplace was literally under my own window), we had so many fancy lattes with chocolates, sprinkles and cream. I think Killer would love it XD and all sorts of syrups too! He'd order regular latte or cappuccino with new syrup every week and let Kid grade it I can imagine Kid grabbing Killer's wrist when he tries to get a sip himself and drinks from Killer's hand > Kid has to fight his own drowsiness to keep them both upright > Oh also Kid will try to be a gentleman once and bring coffee he usually drinks. Killer fights back the desire to spit it out 'cause it's too fucking bitter and sour 9. Yes. He knows it was provoked by the crowd and pressure but it doesn't make the situation any better. I mean, he said Kid overcompensates smth with his looks but it's difficult to ignore such monstrosity. Kid doesn't need to know he provoked a reaction in Killer as well XD butv Kid will apologise either way > That'll absolutely work! Especially after they started over-the-top greetings and farewells. Whether it was by accident (Kid leaned down to do "mwah" near Killer's cheek and the train jostled and he kissed Killer instead) or he did it on autopilot but he'll pace a whole in the garage floor XD Killer will have to cool himself against cold glass
