The day Kidd stops hiding his devil fruit.

one on one, killer wins.

2 or even 3 on one, killer still tends to win; whats less certain is him getting jumped by 4 or 5 goons who where waiting for him and kidd to split up for a short time. its an attack of opportunity, the gang might have been waiting but they also aren't 100% prepared. they have truncheons, one guy has a knife, but mostly its fisticuffs. Killer is doing okay controlling the space, but the guy with the knife manages to get behind him and goes to stab for kidney or lungs. Killer realises he's left an opening and tries to twist out of the line of attack - the knife likely hitting the lower rib instead of sinking into soft organs. it still does a good deal of damage to muscle and blood loss will be something he has to worry about but its not enough to take him down. its more likely blunt trauma to head (concussion) or stomach (windeded) that drops him in the end.

but he's bleeding enough that once he goes down, there might be a pot shot or two (kicks) but his attackers assume they've won and flee before they get caught.

kidd will find him shortly after. either fully unconscious and flat on his back, or struggling to catch his breath, to stay awake, unable to reach around to where he's bleeding out

Until this point, Kidd has been keeping his Devil Fruit abilities on the down low. A secret. Used for small things like turning locks and stealing cans of food, and moving around scraps to find the good metals to sell. Killer has drilled into his head since he ate the fruit not to let anyone know; its too dangerous.

If the wrong people find out kidd has a devil fruit, killer can't keep him safe.

But what good is hiding it if people are gonna hurt them anyway.

What's the point in keeping it a secret if killer gets hurt anyway.

Maybe killer can't keep him safe anymore, but Kidd's old enough and strong enough now that its his turn to keep killer safe for once.

No one will ever ever target Killer again.

Kidd will make sure of it
