Kidd was the one who called them; none of them had not been invited to the senior party, but he was also pretty sure Killer had gone regardless.
and he'd gone with someone, the Punk still sitting tucked next to the garage apartment on his old mans' property. Kidd hadn't been exactly sure where the party was, but Heat & Wire knew all the good spots, and it didn't take them long to find the one Killer had gone too.
The problem was actually finding their friend in the swarm of intoxicated teenagers celebrating their freedom from high school. and not murdering someone once they did. They find the last man of their entourage pinned up against the truck of Charlotte Mobile
The party is in full swing when they pull up, Wire and Heat sharing a look over the hood of Heat's truck as they get out. The homeschoolers had shown up at one point, and some of the city kids had driven out. HEat didn't know most of them, but there were a few faces he recognized from other things. Trafalgar was camped out on someone's hood with a cup in hand, and looking bored.
he doesn;t... perk up... when he sees them, but he definitely notices them. He raises a cup to them in a cheers motion. "FIgured the call of free alcohol d'get the rest of you here soon or later."
heat took the lead, "and where is the rest of us?"
"Killer wandered off with one of the charlotte's, completely smashed. you degenerates seem to always pop up anytime there's free booze or dope."
"Haha.." heat said dully, glancing around.
law absent mindedly gestured in a direction back to where some of the others had parked, before returning to his drink.
After working for big mom over the years, they recognized the ranch decal with ease on one of the trucks, one of her onss' Mobile. the teen in question was standing in the open door of the cab, (fumbling with someone on the bench)
That is where they found Killer, just as Trafalagra said, pinned against the bench seat, Big Mam's son with a hand down the back of Killer's open jeans and a tongue down his throat. While not exactly an unusual way to find their friend, Killers complete lack of involvement in the heavy makeout session immediately had Wire & Heat on edge.
The problem was, Killer didn't seem to be kissing back, eyes barely open and limp, sliding to the ground bonelessly when wire dragged Mobile away.
Heat knelt next to him, trying to judge Killer's face in the low lighting of the night. The bonfires were too far away, and the headlights pointed away. "Hey, hey Kill? Killer, you okay, man?"
heat risked a glance back to wire & mobile, his partner grappling with mobile. Wire looked back at him once he got mobile in a headlock, the teen demanding to be released. "the fuck is wrong with you, letme go!"
heat frowned, turning back to Killer. his friend remained slumped against the base of the truck, dazed look about him and breathing shallow
Trafalgar looked mildly alarmed when they came back by, Killer limb and boneless between the two of them. Even if he was 'completely smashed' killer had still be up and moving on his own last he'd seen.
heat had half a mind to ignore the teen, but
"mind your drink there, trafalgar," he warned, "think something else's in the beer."
Trafalgar's face tensed up, and he looked out over the party; he might be an introvert, but if he was here - so was his own little group, and heat hoped this wasn't someone specifically targeting his friend.
It was an open secret with their peers that killer was both gay and easy. any sense of direction that heat & wire had tried to teach him had gone out the window after kidd's accident last summer. killer somehow got it in his head that it was his fault and the self destructive behaviour that followed was a lot for even them. There was also something that had gone down at Kaido's ranch that nobody wanted to talk about that had sent killer spiralling last fall.
he'd only clawed his way back to some semblance of himself to chauffeur kidd around; wire & heat don't breathe a word to anyone about how bad things have gotten with their friend, but they also know that the only person on earth that scared killer more than his own father is kidd's mother and he sobers up real fast when kidd asks if killer will still drive him into town when the school years starts.
The boys wonder how much kidd knows of what's going on.
the thing is, killer would suck you off if you asked nad was always down to fuck - so for anyone to feel the need to drug him seemed like a wausted effort. either this was a wider net someone had caste that killer had just been caught un or there was something more nefarious in the works tonight, and
