"Fell! We have to go!"
shadwell had already carted Mme tracy away, and now corlwey was pretty sur ehe was going to have to do the same for Mr Fell, who stood enraptured by the beast terrizing the west part of the city. Hundreds of people ran past them - they'd be trapped, the east of the city opned out into the ocean, and there was limited options after that.
it looked like a dragon from human folklore - crolwey had always assumed it was a fatasasic beast, nothing real. yet - here it was threatening the uneasy peace that the woeld had settled into.
"all those people..." fell whispered as crolwey tried again to drag him away from the area. they'd never find shadwell again in this mess, the two wher eon their own. crolwey had limited friends in the city, making it safer to stick with fell than to go at it completely alone. unfortuatly for him, the etherial bastard seemed intent on wanding /toward/ the danger.
"Fell!" he tried again. this time, pnicking people rushing by cause Fell to slip from his graps and throw him back a few feet. it was all the other needed to step onward in a reverant haze. "Fell!, Fell! what re you doing?!"
His skin rippled, light pouring out, causing the humans to scream and dart away form him in their rush to leave. he didn't look quite solid anymore, dges flickering like seagress in a soft current, and the back of his beloved jacket unfolding a the seams, the tan fabric morphing to great white wings, glowing like the rest of him other than the tips, looking like there'd been dipped ina thick blacky ink.
and then the eyes opened - not jsut across his body, but in the air itself. the majority collected in an arch around his head, looking every way at once.
the glory of a battle etherial, marching off to war. once, the human mind couldn't even compreheand such a thing; the sight of one driving them too madness. today - there where too many other things to fear.
Fell took to the air witht the grace of a migratory bird, in it for the long haul, and covering ground quickly. crolwey hadn't even a chance to realise what he'd donw befor ehe was chasing after. he might shar a name with the large corvid, but his wings and tale feathers shared more witht he magpie. the scales made msot think he was a snake, and he encouraged it, but the long thin shape of his true form was actually his irredencent black tail feahters. closed, his wings shared that same black look, but open and out streacheled liek he was, trying to stay in Fells tail wind, the white shlouders and primates out for all to see. his scales reduced drag - he was smaller but more agile, abple to do quick corse correctments to actch up tot he massive beart that was Fell.
Fell - whose wings where build for power, and not your traditional hunter. he was a seabord, a gannet most likely, whe way he dived and seemed to swim int he air. weaponless didn't detrer him at all and he aimed for the dragon's head a second time, the dumb beast thrown off by the spurpise attack.
