I grew up pretty rural, and while the sky never was /this/ clear, the stars were something awesome to witness. Its still my favourite sights when I go home to visit my mother.
As a teenager, my family hosted an exchange student for the summer; she was from Tokyo. We spend most of the summer evenings just star-gazing. I will never forget - the night sky was the thing that she loved most about her visit. Having never lived in a city at that time, i didn't understand yet.
I think of my friend, her first clear night in the mountains. She had no words for the sight. I imagine what that first night after leaving Kustukku would be like - to actually /see/ the night sky for the first time, no city light pollution or smog to hide it away
